Backstory:
Formed in the dreary outskirts of Manchester, England in 2013, Dismal Presence has truly risen from the mist with its hauntingly deep tones and melancholic melodies. The four band members, Freddie Thorn (lead vocals, guitar), Ian Holmes (bass, backing vocals), Sam Fitzpatrick (drums), and Mark Kipling (keyboard, synthesizer), were childhood friends who shared a love for the dark, the macabre, and the brooding aspects of life. They all experienced a variety of personal losses and grief, which became their catalyst to pour their sorrow into the music that they play today. Using their shared experiences as fuel, Dismal Presence strives to create music that resonates within the hearts of those who have felt the cold grip of despair.

Title:
‘Echoes of Eternity’
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am – Em – G – D
In the void, where the stars have died,
We find solace, in the darkness we abide.
The echoes of eternity, whispering in our soul,
A dismal presence, a story yet untold.
(Chorus)
C – G – Dm – F
Do you hear the echoes? Can you feel the frost?
Our hearts are broken, in the abyss, we are lost.
Through the echoes of eternity, we roam,
A graveyard of stars, we call it home.
(Verse 2)
Am – Em – G – D
In the silence, where tears turn to ice,
We find comfort, in the cruel paradise.
The echoes of eternity, a symphony so cold,
A dismal presence, in our hearts, it takes hold.
(Chorus)
C – G – Dm – F
Do you hear the echoes? Can you taste the pain?
Our dreams are shattered, in this eternal rain.
Through the echoes of eternity, we bleed,
A symphony of sorrow, is all we need.

Lucy’s Testimonial:
“Dismal Presence has been my north star in a world that can often feel cold and bleak. Their music has a way of weaving around your heart, making you feel seen and understood. It’s more than just a band for me; it’s like a kindred spirit, a friend in the darkness. The song ‘Echoes of Eternity’ resonates with me on a profound level. The way Freddie’s voice encapsulates the feeling of sorrow mixed with a strange tranquility, it’s pure magic. Their music is not just notes and lyrics; it’s an experience, a journey through the darker corners of life, acknowledging the beauty that lies within. I don’t know where I’d be without Dismal Presence. They’ve turned my despair into strength, and for that, I will always be a loyal fan.”
