Song Title:
“Shadows in the Rain”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[Em] Walking down the street, [G] as the rain comes pouring,
[D] Trying to find a beat, [A] in a world that’s roaring.
[Em] Shadows in the rain, [G] whispering your name,
[D] Lost in the refrain, [A] love’s a losing game.
(Chorus)
[C] Shadows in the rain, [G] echoes of your name,
[D] Love’s a bitter pain, [Em] deep within my vein.
[C] Like a burning flame, [G] chases all the sane,
[D] In the end, we’re all the [Em] same, shadows in the rain.
(Verse 2)
[Em] Moonlight on the Thames, [G] echoes of our past,
[D] Time that never ends, [A] wished it could last.
[Em] Shadows in the rain, [G] feelings can’t contain,
[D] Love’s a bitter strain, [A] drowning in disdain.
(Chorus)
[C] Shadows in the rain, [G] echoes of your name,
[D] Love’s a bitter pain, [Em] deep within my vein.
[C] Like a burning flame, [G] chases all the sane,
[D] In the end, we’re all the [Em] same, shadows in the rain.
The band’s favorite fan:
Alice Brenton – “I’ve followed Doting Bush since their first local gig in Bexley. Their music has a depth and authenticity that’s hard to find these days. They do not just play music; they tell stories that resonate with my own experiences. Tom’s voice is raw and emotive, which, combined with the powerful lyrics, has helped me through some tough times. There’s a sense of community at their concerts, like being a part of a big, musical family. Doting Bush is not just my favorite band; they’re a part of my life.”
