Double Fish

Backstory:

Double Fish, an unexpected collision of musical talent, was born in the sun-soaked surfer town of San Clemente, California. Childhood buddies, Cody “Sea Bass” Stewart, a passionate guitarist with a deep appreciation for rock & roll, and Jake “Marlin” Harper, a versatile drummer who grew up on a steady diet of reggae and ska, shared a dream to create a band that would redefine musical boundaries. Their band reflects the laidback, free-spirited ethos of the surf culture they grew up in, with a twist of their unique taste in music.

They started off performing at local beach bonfires and quickly gained a cult following for their refreshing sound that was as unpredictable as the ocean waves. With their increasing popularity, they began playing in local venues, winning over audiences with their infectious energy and distinctive sound. The band’s big break came when they won the annual “Battle of the Bands” competition, catapulting them to the forefront of the indie music scene.

“Wave Chasers”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse)
[G] Diving into the deep end, [D] catching the next wave,
[Em] We’re just two lost boys [C] chasing the sun’s blaze.
[G] Strumming our dreams on the six strings, [D] setting our hearts aflame,
[Em] In this life of sand and sea, [C] it’s more than just a game.

(Chorus)
[G] We’re the wave chasers, [D] soul surfers in the wild,
[Em] Riding the rhythm of the ocean, [C] just like a child.
[G] With the salt in our veins, [D] and the sun in our eyes,
[Em] We’ll ride the crest and the trough, [C] ’til the day we capsize.

(Verse)
[G] Sand in our pockets, [D] freedom on our minds,
[Em] Playing the tunes of the sea, [C] leaving the world behind.
[G] Strumming the chords of our youth, [D] in the glow of the setting sun,
[Em] We’re just two faces in the crowd, [C] our journey has just begun.
