Backstory:
Drafty Protein was conceived in the bustling, eclectic city of Austin, Texas, where childhood friends Max Wells (lead vocals, guitar) and Jonny Trescott (drums) were roommates at the University of Texas. In between their studies, they spent countless hours jamming in their shared living room, composing songs that reflected their shared love for music and their unique take on the world. Their distinctive sound caught the attention of local bassist Lucy ‘Loose Strings’ St. James, who loved their raw energy and infectious groove. The trio officially formed Drafty Protein in 2012, and their ambitious sound soon started making waves in the vibrant Austin music scene.

Genre:
Drafty Protein’s music can best be described as Indie Rock with a strong influence of Psychedelic Pop. Their sound is a blend of hypnotic rhythms, layered guitars, and evocative lyrics, topped with Max’s distinctive vocals.
