1. Backstory

Edible Republic, a kaleidoscope of musical talents, was cooked up in the buzzing, bohemian enclave of Asheville, North Carolina. The band originated in the eclectic kitchens of culinary school where its members, all food enthusiasts, bonded over their shared passion for cooking and music. Tired of the traditional band concepts, they decided to stir up a unique blend of music that would satiate the auditory appetites while leaving a distinct flavor in the listeners’ minds.

The founding members, lead vocalist and master chef Jesse ‘Bechamel’ Belmont, guitarist/saucier Tony ‘Pesto’ Pirelli, drummer/baker Lisa ‘Souffle’ Sanders, and bassist/butcher Bill ‘Brisket’ Barker, came together to create Edible Republic. Their shared love of good food and good music became the recipe for a unique band that serves up a tasty array of cutting-edge music.
