Eminent Truth

Backstory:
Eminent Truth, a fiery and passionate group of four, initially came together in a small southern town of Georgia, where they discovered their shared love for folk and rock music in the early 2000s. It all started when the lead vocalist, James Thornton, and guitarist, Chris McQueen, started performing at local bars. Their performances drew the attention of drummer, Liam Davis, and bassist, Ben Atkins, who soon joined the duo, thus giving birth to ‘Eminent Truth.’ The band rose from playing in small, smoky taverns to electrifying large, enthusiastic crowds at international music festivals. Their music, inspired by deeply ingrained southern traditions and the chaotic beauty of life, resonates with their listeners, leaving them touched and moved.

Title:
“Whiskey and Redemption”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em G
Underneath the Georgia sun,
D A
Whiskey on my breath, I run.
Em G
Chasing shadows, losing grace,
D A
In this lost and lonely place.

(Chorus)
Em G
Whiskey and Redemption, my only friends,
D A
Halfway between heaven and life’s dead ends.
Em G
In the heart of nights, when stars align,
D A
I find myself in the music and the sweet moonshine.

(Verse 2)
Em G
On the dusty roads of the south,
D A
Words fell silent, music found my mouth.
Em G
Strumming stories on my old guitar,
D A
Under the southern sky, dreaming afar.

(Chorus)
Em G
Whiskey and Redemption, my only truth,
D A
In the melody’s arms, I find my youth.
Em G
In the heart of nights, in the rhythm’s rhyme,
D A
I lose myself in the music, losing track of time.

(Bridge)
Em G
Eminent truth in the strings,
D A
In the songs that the night wind sings.
Em G
Barefoot on these hallowed grounds,
D A
Where my soul in the music, profoundly resounds.

(Chorus)
Em G
Whiskey and Redemption, my light, my guide,
D A
In the music’s arms, I confide.
Em G
In the heart of nights, in the whiskey’s haze,
D A
I find myself in the music, in its warm embrace.

Band’s Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan is undoubtedly, Sarah Davis. Sarah has been a staunch supporter of our music since the early days. She has attended almost every local gig and even followed us to our international tours. She often says, “Eminent Truth’s music is like a balm to the soul. Their lyrics tell stories, stories that echo my emotions. When life gets tough, their music is my solace. It feels like they have crafted each song keeping my heart’s tales in mind. Their music is my truth, my eminent truth.”
