Backstory:

Equal Airline came to life in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, in the spring of 2005. Childhood friends and music lovers Jake Johnson (vocals/guitar), Randy Thompson (drums), and Mia Cohen (bass/vocals) found a shared passion for music that went beyond their regular jam sessions. They had always been lured by the magic and spirit of music, and when they met Kelly Bennett (keyboard/vocals) in a local music store, they instantly formed a bond. They jammed together, their styles melting into each other, and they created a unique sound that became the soul of Equal Airline.

Equal Airline’s journey has been about chasing dreams and pushing the boundaries. They started playing at local venues and soon gained a fan following because of their infectious energy and heartfelt performances. They’ve played some of the biggest music festivals and have shared the stage with many of the industry’s big names, but they always remember their roots. Their music is about connection, equality, and finding one’s place in the universe.
