Backstory:

Equatorial Trading was formed in 2007, in the college town of Athens, Georgia, when a group of friends known for their diverse musical tastes decided to join forces. Fueled by their collective love for world music, they spent their nights jamming in their garage, perfecting their unique sound. Over time, they became a local sensation and soon embarked on nationwide tours, capturing the hearts of audiences with their eclectic, energetic performances.

The band is comprised of the charismatic lead vocalist and guitarist, Andy, the percussionist and backing vocalist, Mark, the bass guitarist, Lucas, and the keyboardist, Sam. The name ‘Equatorial Trading’ was inspired by their passion for diverse musical influences from around the equator region, infusing their music with a variety of rhythms and sounds that they felt traded and merged into something entirely new and unique.
