Extra-Large Dress

1. Backstory:
Extra-Large Dress was formed in a small, humble town of Brighton, UK, in the fall of 2015. The band consists of four close-knit friends – lead vocalist and guitarist Alex Thompson, drummer and backing vocalist Ben Harrison, keyboardist Emily Clark, and bassist Sam Roberts. Their office jobs and the dreariness of everyday life became the stepping stone towards their musical journey. One fateful day, after a casual jam session at Sam’s basement, they decided to pursue their passion for music professionally. They chose the name ‘Extra-Large Dress’ from one of their shared inside jokes, symbolizing their belief in exceeding expectations and breaking out of conventional norms.

Over the years, the band has made its presence felt in the local music scene, captivating audiences with their dynamic performances. Their raw talent and passion for music eventually led them to win Brighton’s Annual Battle of the Bands in 2017, giving them the much-needed boost to their music career. Since then, ‘Extra-Large Dress’ has been rocking stages, bringing their unique music to larger crowds and securing their place as one of the rising bands in the UK.

3. Song Title:
“Dance on the Train Tracks”

4. Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Walking down the memory lane, lost in the summer rain,
Looking for a reason not to feel this pain.
Got a ticket on a southbound train, ain’t looking for fortune or fame,
Just a place where no one knows my name.

(Chorus)
So I’ll dance on the train tracks, under the moonlight sway,
Let the rhythm of the rolling wheels wash the past away.
I’ll sing my song to the wind, let it carry the strain,
In the dance on the train tracks, I’ll find me again.

(Verse 2)
Counting every town that passes by, beneath the endless sky,
With each beat my heart learns to fly.
Got my dreams in this worn-out bag, the world’s my waving flag,
With every mile, I shake off the drag.

(Chorus)
I’ll dance on the train tracks, under the moonlit haze,
With the rustle of the night, I’ll break the daze.
I’ll write my story in the wind, lose the growing pain,
In the dance on the train tracks, I’ll make my gain.

(Bridge)
Train tracks lead me on, to the unknown, to the dawn,
Through the darkness, through the fear, to the place where I belong.
Every moment on this ride, is a step towards the wide,
Open arms of life, in its everlasting tide.

(Chorus)
I’ll dance on the train tracks, under the starlit array,
To the rhythm of freedom, I’ll sway.
I’ll whisper my hopes to the wind, let it share the strain,
In the dance on the train tracks, life will reign.
