Backstory:
Faithful Crayon was formed in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, in 2013. The four founding members – lead vocalist and guitarist Mike Sharp, bassist and back-up vocalist Tom Wax, drummer Cindy Chalk, and keyboardist Ryan Pastel – were all art school students passionate about music and the power it holds to tell narratives. The band’s name, Faithful Crayon, was inspired by their collective love for art and the idea of remaining true to oneself. They began by playing small gigs at local art galleries and cafes, but their unique sound quickly drew a larger audience, leading to their first record deal in 2016.

The music of Faithful Crayon is best described as Indie Pop with a touch of New Wave and Pop Art aesthetics. They are known for their distinct sound, blending synth-driven melodies with vivid, storytelling lyrics.
