Fancy Study

Backstory:

Fancy Study isn’t your everyday garage band. Formed in 2011 in the heart of Boston, the band originated from a group of college friends who were all studying in the same library. The friends – Mark, Rob, Bella, and Lisa – were all different majors, but their love for music was a common thread that brought them together. Instead of studying one night, they decided to start a band. Their unique music style was born out of late-night jam sessions in between study schedules. As their fanbase grew on campus, the group decided to take their act public and has been creating music as Fancy Study ever since, a nod to their origins.

Genre:

Alternative Pop

Song Title:

“Books and Beats”

Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am – C – G – D
In a maze of books, we found a rhythm,
Am – C – G – D
The silence of the library came alive,
Am – C – G – D
Through pages of knowledge and flickering lights,
Am – C – G – D
We found a melody that felt so right.

(Chorus)
Em – D – C – G
Books and beats, we’re dancing in the aisles,
Em – D – C – G
Underneath the moonlight, through the paper miles,
Em – D – C – G
With every word we read, every note we play,
Em – D – C – G
In our fancy study, we found our getaway.

(Verse 2)
Am – C – G – D
Late-night coffee and worn-out chords,
Am – C – G – D
In the company of friends and literary lords,
Am – C – G – D
From Shakespeare sonnets to rock and roll,
Am – C – G – D
In the heart of Boston, we found our soul.

(Chorus)
Em – D – C – G
Books and beats, it’s our unique blend,
Em – D – C – G
In the harmony of words, a magic we comprehend,
Em – D – C – G
In the silence of the night, in the echoes of the day,
Em – D – C – G
In our fancy study, we found our way.

Testimonial: “Fancy Study has been my favorite band since I first heard them playing in the campus library. Their unique blend of pop alternative music with literary references is both exciting and calming. I’ve always been a bookworm, and their song “Books and Beats” speaks to me on a different level. It’s like they are singing my life, my love for books, and my love for music all in one. I have attended all their concerts and I feel a personal connection with them. I can’t wait to see where their journey takes them. Their music isn’t just a fancy study; it’s a beautiful narrative that weaves itself into my daily life.”
