Far Birth

Backstory:

Far Birth, an ancestral name with deep meaning, was formed in the heart of San Francisco during the late 90s. The band was born out of a passionate friendship and shared love for music between high school mates, Roger Delaney and Stephen Kane. Roger, the vocalist and rhythm guitarist and Stephen, the drummer, were later joined by bassist Amelia Jones and lead guitarist Brian Patterson, thus forming the complete ensemble. They started by playing in local gigs and school events, which over time earned them a dedicated local fanbase and eventually, a record deal.

Far Birth’s love for their city and their fans reflects in their music, which is a unique blend of rock, folk, and a touch of psychedelia. Their journey, from playing in humble garages to the glittering stages and music festivals, has been nothing short of a dream. Through their music, they continue to inspire the youth, and their songs, often reflecting themes of friendship, love, and resilience, resonate with listeners far and wide.

“City of Love and Light”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[C] In the heart of the city, [Am] under the golden glow,
[G] Where dreams are woven into melodies, [F] our spirits flow.
[C] Beneath the starry sky, [Am] beside the glistening bay,
[G] We found our rhythm in the silence, [F] in the break of day.

(Chorus)
[C] City of love and light, [G] you’re our guiding star,
[Am] In your arms, we found our voice, [F] found who we are.
[C] City of love and light, [G] forever you’ll shine bright,
[Am] Through your streets, we learned to dream, [F] learned to ignite.

(Verse 2)
[C] In the rustling leaves, [Am] in the gentle breeze,
[G] We painted our dreams with notes [F] and harmonies.
[C] In the buzzing cafes, [Am] by the misty shore,
[G] We strummed our hopes, [F] Oh, the tunes we bore.

(Chorus)
[C] City of love and light, [G] you’re our guiding star,
[Am] In your arms, we found our voice, [F] found who we are.
[C] City of love and light, [G] forever you’ll shine bright,
[Am] Through your streets, we learned to dream, [F] learned to ignite.
