Fat Regime

Backstory:

Fat Regime emerged from the bustling music scene of Austin, Texas, in 2003. The band was formed by a group of disenchanted high school friends who found solace from their daily grind in their shared love of music. Lead vocalist, Jake Huston, guitarist, Ryan ‘Riff’ McGrady, bassist, Sam ‘Boom-Boom’ Galvan, and drummer, Pete ‘Thumper’ Wilson came together to create a band that truly represented their feelings of frustration with the socio-political climate of the time.

After several years of playing in local bars and clubs, Fat Regime broke into the mainstream with their unique blend of rock and political satire. Their name, a tongue-in-cheek reference to both their own larger-than-life personalities and the ‘fat cats’ of the political world, quickly became a staple in the Austin music scene and beyond. Despite the critical and commercial success that followed, the band remained dedicated to their original vision: creating genuinely good music that made people think.

Song Title:
“Rebel’s Cry”

Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am C G D
Living in the shadows, we’re fighting for the light
Am C G D
Tired of the battles, but we’re ready for the fight
Am C G D
Fat cats in their towers, looking down with scorn
Am C G D
We’re the silent voices, in the eye of the storm

(Chorus)
Am C G D
Here’s a rebel’s cry, ringing through the night
Am C G D
Stand up, rise up, keep the flame alight
Am C G D
We won’t bow down, we won’t give in
Am C G D
This is our fight, and we’re destined to win

(Verse 2)
Am C G D
Leaders full of promises, but empty of deeds
Am C G D
Sowing seeds of discord, while the people bleed
Am C G D
But we’re standing strong, united by our cause
Am C G D
We won’t be silenced, we won’t pause

(Chorus)
Am C G D
Here’s a rebel’s cry, ringing through the night
Am C G D
Stand up, rise up, keep the flame alight
Am C G D
We won’t bow down, we won’t give in
Am C G D
This is our fight, and we’re destined to win
