Fatal Food

Backstory:
Fatal Food, a band born from the ashes of a failed culinary adventure, emerged in 2007 when four restaurant workers from Austin, Texas, decided to trade their spatulas for guitars. The four friends, lead vocalist and guitarist Benji “Burger” Brooks, bassist Tommy “Taco” Turner, drummer Frankie “Fries” Foster, and keyboardist Sarah “Salad” Simmons, worked in a restaurant that closed down due to an unfortunate food poisoning incident. Looking for a fresh start, they found common ground in their love for music and decided to form a band, humorously naming it Fatal Food as a nod to their past.

They quickly developed a unique sound that captured their shared experiences, from the chaotic kitchen environment to their forays into the Austin nightlife, and the band quickly gained traction in the local music scene. Their energetic performances and infectious melodies became a hit among the city’s music lovers, and they soon started touring across the country.

Title:
“From Frying Pan to Fire”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Hand on the grill, heart on my sleeve
[C] Sizzling love in the summer heat
[G] We danced in the kitchen, lost in the beat
[C] From the frying pan, into the fire, we leap

(Chorus)
[D] From frying pan to fire, baby we’re a wild desire
[G] In the heat of the night, under neon light
[D] Let’s stir up this town, turn the world upside down
[G] From frying pan to fire, our love will never tire

(Verse 2)
[G] Tossing pizzas, flipping burgers high
[C] In the kitchen, under Texas sky
[G] You stole my heart, with your chili fries
[C] From the frying pan, to the fire, our love flies

(Repeat Chorus)

(Bridge)
[D] We’ve got the recipe for love, no need for a stove
[C] Just you and me baby, let’s hit the road

(Repeat Chorus till fade)

There’s always a sense of community and camaraderie at their shows, it’s no surprise they’ve cooked up such a loyal fan base. There’s nothing quite like them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
