1. Backstory

Feisty Book emerged from the small town of Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 2012. The band, originally a book club comprising of five university friends – Lisa (lead vocals), Samuel (guitarist), Rachel (bass), Peter (drums), and Lucy (keyboard) – decided to transform their passion for literature into a unique blend of music. Heavily influenced by the themes and philosophies in their favorite novels, they began translating the stories into song lyrics. They were soon discovered at a local talent showcase by a record executive who was visiting his hometown.

Despite the literary references, the band’s music remained accessible and relatable. After gigging relentlessly around Pennsylvania, they quickly developed a reputation for their engaging live shows and thought-provoking lyrics. Their debut album, “Literary Symphony,” was a hit in the indie music scene, and their fan base has steadily grown since.
