1. Backstory:
In the heart of San Francisco during the summer of 1996, a group of college friends stumbled upon a shared passion for creating music that would inspire and empower women. Fronted by charismatic lead vocalist, Emily Redd, and backed by guitarist Fiona Grey, bassist Sarah Teal, and drummer Tina Rose, Female Blue was formed. Despite their diverse backgrounds in classical music, rock, and jazz, the women found a common rhythm in their shared experiences and mission. Over the years, Female Blue has managed to maintain their friendship, overcome obstacles of discrimination and bias in the music industry, and continue creating music that speaks to the hearts of women everywhere.
2. Music Genre:

4. Full Song Lyrics with Chord Progression:
(Verse 1) [Em – G – D – A]
In the heart of the night, when shadows dance,
You find the power inside to take a chance.
Don’t let the world bring you down, don’t let it make you frown,
Girl, you are a queen, so wear your crown.
(Chorus) [G – D – Em – C]
Blue Dawn, break through the night,
Rise up with all your might.
Brave heart, fearless and free,
Female Blue, we are meant to be.
(Verse 2) [Em – G – D – A]
Through the storm, through the fight, you hold your own,
With a spirit so bright, it’s so brightly shown.
Sisters in arms, hand in hand, we stand tall,
Through the blue dawn, we rise after the fall.
(Chorus) [G – D – Em – C]
Blue Dawn, break through the night,
Rise up with all your might.
Brave heart, fearless and free,
Female Blue, we are meant to be.
(Bridge) [Am – B – C – D]
Let the world know, let the world see,
That we are women, wild and free.
Through the blue dawn, through the fight,
It’s our world, and we are its light.
(Chorus) [G – D – Em – C]
Blue Dawn, break through the night,
Rise up with all your might.
Brave heart, fearless and free,
Female Blue, we are meant to be.
