Backstory:
First Cold had its humble beginnings at a serene college town, in the chilly Midwest. The group was formed by three childhood friends: Michael, a poet and vocalist, Greg, a gifted guitarist, and Peter, a multi-instrumentalist. Together, they shared a common fascination for the poetry of seasons, especially the harsh and beautiful winter. Inspired by the first cold, they named their band ‘First Cold’ in homage to the season which prompted their creativity. They started playing in local bars, their music resonating with the small but passionate community they belonged to. Their unique sound quickly caught the attention of a local recording studio, offering them an opportunity to record their first album.
