Backstory:
Established in the heart of Salt Lake City in 2013, Firsthand Contrast was born out of the convergence of two contrasting musical styles – classical and rock. The band was formed by lead guitarist, Jake Stevens, a classically trained musician, and lead singer, Liam Smith, a self-taught rock enthusiast. After a chance encounter at a local music festival, they decided to combine their divergent musical backgrounds, crafting a unique sound that would define Firsthand Contrast. With the addition of drummer, Will Harper, and bassist, Max Riley, the band was complete. From performing in local dives to touring nationally, they quickly made a name for themselves, their diverse musical fusion captivating audiences across the country.
