Backstory:
Flawed Glue came together in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas. The band was formed when two childhood friends, guitarist Mark Johnson and drummer Jeff Caldwell, decided to make music together after years of playing separately in different bands. They found their missing piece in a coffee shop open mic night, where they heard the soulful voice and strong bass lines of Sarah Mitchell. They knew immediately that they had found their lead vocalist and bassist. Named after a piece of artwork Sarah created in her high school art class, Flawed Glue symbolizes the beauty in imperfections and the strength in unity, despite the flaws.

Title:
“Broken Pieces”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em
Looking through the shards of yesterday,
C
We find our world in disarray,
G
But piece by piece we’ll find a way,
D
In the broken mirrors of our play.
(Chorus)
Em C
Broken pieces, flawed glue,
G D
We make our art, our love so true.
Em C
Can’t you see how we grew,
G D
From the ashes, we flew.
(Verse 2)
Em
In the echoes of our laughter,
C
We find our happily ever after,
G
In the silence that comes after,
D
Is the sweet music of our chapter.
(Chorus)
Em C
Broken pieces, flawed glue,
G D
We paint our dreams in shades of blue.
Em C
Through the storms, we paddle through,
G D
With the strength of me and you.
(Bridge)
Em C
Our canvas, our song,
G D
In perfect harmony, we belong.
(Chorus)
Em C
Broken pieces, flawed glue,
G D
Together, we create something new.
Em C
In our hearts, a love so true,
G D
This is us, this is our view.
Flawed Glue’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is, without a doubt, Emma Grace. Emma has been a fan since their first gig and has attended every concert, big or small. She has a particular fondness for the band as they helped her through a difficult time in her life with their music. “Their songs resonate with me on such a deep level,” says Emma. “It’s like they’ve put into words everything I’ve felt but couldn’t express. They remind me that it’s okay to be flawed, and there’s beauty in coming together despite those flaws. That’s why Flawed Glue is my favorite band!”
