Backstory:
Flawless Wren began as an unexpected collaboration between long-time friends and musicians, Gail “Grit” Redwood and Jasper “Jazz” Stones in their hometown of Asheville, North Carolina back in 2014. Both were local legends in their own rights – Gail with her soulful alto pipes and a knack for songwriting, and Jasper with his wicked guitar skills. After an impromptu performance at a mutual friend’s house party, they realized their music styles dovetailed perfectly, and thus Flawless Wren was born.
Their music journey started with small local shows, where they garnered a dedicated fan base. Their raw, emotional performances captured the hearts of many, catapulting them into the regional music scene. Their debut album, ‘Rustic Echoes’, encapsulated the essence of their musical journey and map their emotions, life experiences, and the authenticity of their beautiful friendship.
Genre:
Flawless Wren falls into the genre of Indie Folk-Rock, with hints of Southern Blues and a dash of Country. They have managed to create their own unique sound, a blend of soulful melodies with raw and gritty lyrics, backed by hauntingly beautiful guitar work.
