Fluid Decline

Backstory:

Fluid Decline didn’t begin as a band, but as a garage project. The group was formed in the heart of Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2013. The founding members, Johnny “Scorch” Scott (lead vocals/guitar) and Amy “Rivet” Davis (drums), were childhood friends who spent countless hours making music in Scott’s parents’ garage. Their unique sound soon attracted new members, including bassist Jason “Shake” Miller and keyboardist Lila “Sizzle” Simmons. They began playing local venues and quickly gained a cult following with their eclectic blend of music and raw, captivating performances.

Their journey skyrocketed when a bootleg recording of one of their performances unexpectedly went viral on social media in 2016. The sudden fame was overwhelming for the band, resulting in a short hiatus. However, they returned stronger and more focused, with Fluid Decline becoming a symbol of resilience and reinvention, dedicating their music to those who struggle and inspiring them to rise above adversity.

Title:

“Fading Echoes”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am G Em F
In the silence of the night, I hear you call
Our love was like a shooting star, about to fall
Remember the days when we were invincible
Now we’re just fading echoes in a crystal ball

(Chorus)
C G Am F
Fading echoes, in the corridors of time
Our love story, lost in whispered rhyme
The world spins on, oblivious to our decline
We’re just fading echoes, in the back of our minds

(Verse 2)
Am G Em F
We danced with fire, we flew too close to the sun
A tale of desire, a battle we never won
Now all we’ve got are shadows of our yesterdays
Fading echoes is all that remains, of what we’ve become

(Chorus)
C G Am F
Fading echoes, in the vastness of the night
Our silent screams, swallowed by the twilight
In this maze of memories, we’re lost in the fight
We’re just fading echoes, slowly losing our light

They represent the struggle and the rise, the love and the loss, every aspect of life that is so human and yet so often overlooked. Fading Echoes is my go-to song whenever I feel low. I feel like it’s written for me, and it gives me the strength to keep going. The band’s resilience and their journey from a garage to an iconic stage is a testament to never giving up. They make me believe that no matter how hard life gets, there’s always a way back to the music.”
