Backstory:
Forthright Fifth was born on the smoky basement stages of South London’s underground music scene. Originally five childhood friends, frontman Johnny “Jay” Lawrence, lead guitarist Jack “Cobra” Harrison, rhythm guitarist Michael “Mickey” Green, drummer Leo “Lion” Reynolds, and bassist Lucas “Luke” Foster found their camaraderie in music during their high school years. Their shared love of rock, blues, and a hint of punk gave birth to a unique sound that couldn’t be confined to their humble beginnings. They soon found themselves on the precipice of fame when their indie-rock style resonated with local music fans and critics alike. The name ‘Forthright Fifth’ is a nod to their straightforward approach to music and the strong bond that has kept the five of them together.
