Backstory:

Fresh Carriage was born in the heart of Brooklyn, New York in the early 2000s. The band’s four members, lead vocalist Jenna Stein, guitarist Dave “Slinky” Lawson, bassist Marty “The Hammer” Hammerschmidt, and drummer Rachel “Rach” Feldman, all grew up in the same neighborhood, bonding over their shared love for music and their dissatisfaction with the monotony of their day jobs. Their songs sprouted from their rooftop jam sessions, reflecting their dreams, struggles, joy, and the vibrancy of life in their city.

Their turning point came when the band, initially playing at local bars and house parties, were discovered by a record producer during an impromptu performance in a subway station. They were signed almost immediately, and their raw, unique sound and meaningful lyrics quickly caught public attention, catapulting them to the forefront of the music scene.
