Frilly Name

Backstory:

Frilly Name was born out of the eclectic friendship of four college roommates in a small dorm room of Brooklyn, New York. It all started with spontaneous jamming sessions in between late-night study groups and pizza runs. Their love for music and shared experiences began to shape the band’s unique sound. It wasn’t long before they started performing at local pubs and house parties, where they quickly gathered a loyal fan base. With Sarah on vocals and guitar, Paul on drums, Mark on the keyboard, and Rachel on bass, Frilly Name was a delightful mix of diverse talents and personalities. Their band name, Frilly Name, was a tongue-in-cheek reaction to the often overly grandiose names of contemporary bands.

Genre:

Frilly Name is best described as Indie Pop with a twist of Funk and Soul. Their music is characterized by catchy melodies, grooving beats, and soulful lyrics that speak to the listener’s heart.

“One More Midnight”

Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am C G F
“We’ve been running around in circles,
Am C G F
Chasing shadows in the midnight haze,
Am C G F
Lost in the rhythm of city lights,
Am C G F
Yearning for one more day.”

(Chorus)
C G Am F
“One more midnight, under the starry sky,
C G Am F
One more dream to chase, before we say goodbye,
C G Am F
In the heart of the night, we find our way,
C G Am F
One more midnight, before the break of day.”

(Verse 2)
Am C G F
“Through laughter and tears, we journeyed on,
Am C G F
Memories tangled in the threads of time,
Am C G F
Here in the silence, we find our song,
Am C G F
One more midnight, in the rhythm and rhyme.”

(Chorus x2)
