Backstory:

Frilly Variety is a band of six childhood friends from Little Rock, Arkansas, who share a love for eclectic music and storytelling. The members consist of lead vocalist and keyboardist, Jesse Mills, guitarist and singer, Luke Ferguson, bassist, Andy Swanson, drummer, Kyle Turner, violinist, Maya Jackson, and percussionist, Tara Newman. The band formed during their high school years, with everyone bringing their unique flavor to the table, hence the name “Frilly Variety”. Post-graduation, they decided to pursue their shared passion for music and hit the local scenes, eventually gaining national recognition.

Their music often embodies the spirit of their southern roots, blending a unique combination of folk, blues, and rock. The band’s magic lies in its ability to tell captivating stories through their music, often focusing on themes of love, life, and friendship. Their distinct sound has allowed them to garner a dedicated fanbase who finds comfort and inspiration in their heartfelt tunes.
