Frizzy Pizza

Backstory:
Frizzy Pizza was born out of a small garage in the heartland of Lincoln, Nebraska in 2014. The founding members, Jess “Frizzy” Fitzgerald and Sam “Pizza” Peterson met in a local pizza joint, where Frizzy worked part-time to pay his music school fees. Sam, a self-taught guitarist, was a regular customer who noticed Frizzy’s music notation tattoo and they immediately bonded over their shared love of music. From that day, the pair started jamming together, mixing their eclectic taste of music, and found an unusual synchrony in their voices. They started playing in small local gigs and their unique sound quickly garnered a local fan base. A year later, they were joined by drummer Dave “Extra Toppings” Thompson and bass guitarist Lily “Cheese” Chen. Frizzy Pizza was officially formed, and they started touring across the country.

Genre:
Frizzy Pizza specializes in the genre of Indie Rock with a pinch of Punk Pop, creating a unique blend that resonates with both high school kids and adults who love a throwback to the punk era.

Title:
“Pepperoni Dreams”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
G-D-Em-C
Cruisin’ down the old town road,
Adventures untold in our beat-up Ford,
With the moon roof open, and your hand in mine,
We got our Pepperoni Dreams, and no concept of time.

(Chorus)
Em-C-G-D
Pepperoni dreams, in our ripped up jeans,
Underneath the neon lights of our teenage scene,
Pizza box hearts, and a six-string serenade,
These are the nights, these are the days.

(Verse 2)
G-D-Em-C
We’re the rebels of the midnight hour,
Our love as sweet as it is sour,
The jukebox playing our favorite tune,
Underneath the candy-floss colored moon.

(Chorus)
Em-C-G-D
Pepperoni dreams, in our ripped up jeans,
Beneath the starry night and amidst the city’s gleam
With magic in our eyes, and rhythm in our veins,
Come on darling, let’s roll the dice, let’s play the game.

Bands Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan is Maddie Hughes. Maddie first discovered our music when she was going through a tough time during her sophomore year in high school. She says that our songs helped her cope, and “Pepperoni Dreams” in particular became her anthem. Maddie says, “Frizzy Pizza isn’t just a band for me, they’re my solace. Their music speaks to me in a way nothing else does. It’s raw, it’s candid, it’s everything. They have this insane ability to put emotions into words. Also, their stage presence is electrifying. They have this energy about them that’s infectious. I can’t wait for their next gig!”
