Formed in the picturesque town of Ashville, North Carolina, Fruitful Geese is an unlikely but harmonious mix of four college friends who shared a passion for music and a quirky sense of humor. The band members, Mike “Mikey” Jenkins, Sarah “Sassy” Wilson, Derek “Dreads” Blackwood, and Jake “Jazzy” Ford, each brought their unique influences and tastes to the table to create a musical style all their own. Originally, they started to play impromptu gigs at local pubs and college parties. As their popularity grew, Fruitful Geese decided to pursue music professionally. They earned their name from a running joke within the group, and when it was time to choose a band name, it seemed only fitting to honor their shared humor.
