Backstory:
General Chain is a group that was born in the heartland of America, specifically in the small town of Des Moines, Iowa. The band was initiated by childhood friends, lead vocalist, and guitarist Jack Moody and drummer Pete Harrison. The two often found themselves jamming out in their basement, embracing their shared love of music and harmony. They were eventually joined by bassist, Marcus Lane, and keyboardist, Sarah Turner, both of whom were local talents that had been playing at neighborhood gatherings. With a shared vision and an enduring bond, the four formed the band in 2012, and have been making waves in the indie music scene ever since.
Their journey has been a mix of highs and lows, from selling out shows in local bars to surviving the tough times when their music seemed to fall on deaf ears. However, their undying love for music and unrivaled commitment to their craft kept them going. Today, General Chain is recognized for their distinctive sound and their refusal to be categorized into a specific genre.
Genre: Indie Rock / Alternative Country

Fan’s Name: Emily Thompson
Emily Thompson, a loyal fan from the start, has attended every gig within a hundred-mile radius. Her love for the band goes beyond their music. “General Chain is more than a band to me,” Emily noted. “Their music speaks to me. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s relatable. They’ve been with me through my highs and lows. Every song feels like a conversation with a close friend. They’re humble and down-to-earth, and they’ve never forgotten their roots, which is why they’re my favorite.”
