Backstory:
Gloomy Pitch was formed in the heart of Seattle, Washington, during the early 2000s. The band members, Ethan, Jon, Daisy, and Anthony, were high school friends who discovered their shared love for music while working in a local record store. They started jamming in their parents’ garages, and after getting kicked out for being too loud, they moved their rehearsals to an old, abandoned factory. They found that the factory’s acoustics gave their music a unique, dark undertone – a sound that would later define their musical identity. Inspired by their struggles, their triumphs, and their journey through life, they decided to come together to share their music with the world as Gloomy Pitch.
Genre:
Gloomy Pitch’s music can be categorized as Alternative Rock with a hint of Indie Pop.
Title:
“Whispers in the Rain”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em G
In this city, under the grey,
D Am
Where our dreams, slowly fray.
Em G
Footsteps echo, in the empty lane,
D Am
Our hearts beat to, whispers in the rain.
(Chorus)
C G
The sky cries, we’re not alone,
Am Em
Gloomy pitch, the world has known.
C G
Memories linger, love and pain,
Am Em
Resonating in, whispers in the rain.
(Verse 2)
Em G
Shadows waltz, on the cobblestone,
D Am
Bare trees stand, silent and prone.
Em G
Night’s melody, a somber refrain,
D Am
We find solace in, whispers in the rain.
(Chorus)
C G
Beneath the haze, dreams remain,
Am Em
In the echoes of, whispers in the rain.
C G
Drenched in yearning, hearts sustain,
Am Em
Drawing strength from, whispers in the rain.
