Backstory:
Formed in the rainy city of Seattle in 2008, Gloomy Player began as a quartet of college friends who found solace in their shared love for music. The group originally consisted of frontman Edgar Mitchell, guitarist Charles “Chuck” Ross, bassist Ethan Adams, and drummer Juliette King. They started their journey in small, smokey bars, playing covers of their favorite songs. Their unique sound, a blend of their diverse musical influences, soon earned them a faithful local following. Then, their breakout hit in 2012, which was a testament to their journey and struggle, catapulted them to national fame. Since then, they have been recognized for their raw lyrics and atmospheric music that perfectly capture the essence of their name – Gloomy Player.
