Grand Yard

Backstory:
Born in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, ‘Grand Yard’ is a vivacious group of five who found solace and camaraderie in their love for music. What started as small gigs in local bars and pubs soon turned into a shared journey of melodic exploration. The band consists of childhood friends: lead vocalist Alex, guitarist James, bassist Mick, drummer Nick, and keyboard player Sarah. Their bond is reflected in their music, creating harmony that transcends the ordinary.

‘Grand Yard’ didn’t just appear overnight. Years of practice, dedication, and endless jamming sessions in Alex’s backyard (which they fondly called ‘the grand yard’) shaped their music and their name. Their talent was first recognized when they won a local battle of the bands competition. This victory gave them the much-needed push and confidence, setting them on the path to a promising musical career.

Why this band is her favorite:

“Grand Yard’s music resonates with me on a deeply personal level. Their lyrics are heartfelt and their melodies are captivating. ‘Sunset Boulevard’ was the soundtrack of my summer last year, and it evokes such fond memories. But more than their music, I admire the friendship and bond that the band members share. It’s clear how much they genuinely enjoy making music together, and that energy is contagious. Seeing them live is an experience – they have a way of making every fan feel like a part of their family. Grand Yard is more than just a band to me – it’s a community I’m proud to be part of.”
