Green Farmer

Backstory:
Green Farmer is a five-member band hailing from the quaint farmlands of the Midwest. The band was formed when the lead vocalist, Earl, and the bass guitarist, Jenny, met at the local farmer’s market where they both worked. They discovered a mutual love for music and started jamming after hours in the barn. Soon, they were joined by Earl’s cousin, Sam, the drummer, and Jenny’s childhood friends, Luke and Mary, who played the guitar and keyboard respectively. Their raw, heartfelt music was born from their shared experiences and their deep love for the land that they worked on and the community that they lived in.

“Roots Run Deep”

Full song lyrics:

Verse 1:
[Em] Down the old dirt road, [C] past the rolling field,
[G] Lies a life we’ve known, [D] where our hearts are sealed.
[Em] Through the toil and the strife, [C] and the endless fight,
[G] We’ve found our life, [D] in the soft moonlight.

Chorus:
[C] Roots run deep, [G] beneath the ground,
[D] In our hearts, [Em] where love is found.
[C] From the seed to the tree, [G] we’ve sown our dreams,
[D] In the soil of hope, [Em] where the green farmer schemes.

Verse 2:
[Em] In the early dawn, [C] with the rooster’s crow,
[G] We rise as one, [D] to the fields we go.
[Em] We’re tied to the land, [C] like the river to the sea,
[G] In this hallowed ground, [D] we’re truly free.

Chorus:
[C] Roots run deep, [G] beneath the ground,
[D] In our hearts, [Em] where love is found.
[C] From the seed to the tree, [G] we’ve sown our dreams,
[D] In the soil of hope, [Em] where the green farmer schemes.

Bridge:
[Am] And when the harvest comes, [Em] under the golden sun,
[C] We know our work is done, [G] and a new season’s begun.

Chorus:
[C] Roots run deep, [G] beneath the ground,
[D] In our hearts, [Em] where love is found.
[C] From the seed to the tree, [G] we’ve sown our dreams,
[D] In the soil of hope, [Em] where the green farmer schemes.

Testimonial: “I’ve grown up on a farm just like the members of Green Farmer and their music speaks to my soul. They sing about the realities of farm life, the toil, the connection to the land and the community. It’s like they’re telling my story. They are my favorite band because when I listen to their music it’s not just a song, it’s an experience, an ode to the hardworking farmer. It’s a genuine expression of the struggles and joys of life on the farm. I hope they keep making music that resonates with people like me.”
