Backstory:
Formed in the gloomy streets of London in 2011, Grim Rise is the personification of darkness and melancholy in music. The band’s frontman, Alex “Gravestone” Graves, was a simple street performer who brought his eerie charm to the bustling streets of London every day. Bassist, Damien “Dusk” Blackwood, and drummer, Max “Morgue” Deadman, were regular audience members who found the hollow resonance of Alex’s voice both haunting and mesmerizing. One fateful night, they jammed together and the synergy was electric. Grim Rise was born. They were united by their shared love for dark aesthetics and music that touched the melancholic side of the soul. They dreamed of shaking the world with their unique sound and with a firm friendship formed, they embarked on their musical journey.

Grim Rise falls into the category of gothic rock but with a blend of post-punk elements. Their music is characterized by dark, poetic lyrics, deep brooding bass lines, and dark atmospheric guitar riffs.
