Backstory:
Grown Chain began in the heart of San Francisco in 2015. Its founding members, lead vocalist and guitarist Tom ‘Thommo’ Thompson, bassist Emily ‘Em’ Lancer, and drummer Jack ‘Jax’ Baxter, met during their college years at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Their shared passion for creating music that was honest, raw, and powerful led them to start jamming together. Between late-night study sessions and classes, Grown Chain was born. The band’s name was inspired by an old rose bush that grew in their shared apartment’s backyard. Much like the shrub, their music has blossoms of beautiful complexity but leaves you with a thorny punch.
Genre:
Grown Chain is renowned for their unique blend of alternative rock and folk music.

In the heart of the city, where the skyscrapers touch the sun,

You’re the rhythm in my heartbeat, my secret, lonely fun.

Shadows in the midday sun, our story just begun,
