Backstory:
Grown Tank is a band born in the heart of Austin, Texas. Comprising five friends, Billy Holton (Lead Vocals), Jake Peterson (Guitars), Ronny Doyle (Bass), Mike Hillman (Drums), and Sam Freeman (Keyboard), the band was formed in 2007 when they were all working in different corners of the music industry. Billy was a sound engineer, Jake a guitar tutor, Ronny was selling music gear in a local shop, Sam was a session musician, and Mike was a drummer for a local blues band. They all shared a love for music and the dream of one day starting a band of their own. One late night jam session turned into a regular happening and soon, Grown Tank was born.
The band started off playing gigs in local pubs and quickly gained a reputation for their energetic performances and unique sound. Their struggle, passion, and dedication towards music paid off in 2011 when they released their debut album ‘Rising Tide’, which was a hit among the local music lovers. They have been making waves in the music scene ever since with their electrifying performances and soulful music.
