Backstory:
Hailing from the rain-soaked city of Seattle, Washington, Harsh Cemetery formed in the fall of 1999 through childhood friends and music enthusiasts: Malcolm Riley (Lead Vocals), Elliot Brown (Lead Guitar), Thomas Harington (Bass), and Aaron Mathis (Drums). The four of them found solace in music amidst the chaos of their tumultuous teenage years. Malcolm’s hauntingly beautiful lyrics, often inspired by the macabre, paired with Elliot’s atmospheric guitar riffs, Thomas’s brooding basslines, and Aaron’s thunderous drumming, quickly gained a cult following in the Pacific Northwest’s vibrant music scene. They were known for their raw and intense live performances that left audiences in an emotional tornado.
