Backstory:
Hasty Sergeant was born from the ashes of the previous band ‘Slow Soldier’, when lead guitarist and vocalist, Justin McAllister, separated from the group due to creative differences. The name ‘Hasty Sergeant’ was inspired by Justin’s grandfather who was a fast-rising sergeant in the military. Teaming up with drummer, Veronica “V” Cruz, and bass player, Leo “The Lion” Ramirez, Justin formed a power trio that aimed to bring a new sound to the rock scene. The band is known for their energetic performances and deeply emotional lyrics, creating a unique connection with their audience that’s almost palpable during their live shows.

Title:
“Scarlet Sunsets”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em C
Under the scarlet sunsets, we used to roam,
G D
Our hearts beating in rhythm, we called it home,
Em C
Through the fields of wildflowers, and the endless sky,
G D
Together we were unstoppable, you and I.
(Chorus)
Em C
But the scarlet sunsets turned into cold dawn,
G D
And I could see the silhouette of love, now gone,
Em C
Under the scarlet sunsets, we were free,
G D
Now, I’m chained to the memories, of you and me.
(Verse 2)
Em C
The echo of your laughter, still rings in my ear,
G D
In the silence of the night, it’s you I hear,
Em C
Every scarlet sunset, takes me back to then,
G D
To the times when love was simple, way back when.
(Chorus)
Em C
But the scarlet sunsets turned into cold dawn,
G D
And I could see the silhouette of love, now gone,
Em C
Under the scarlet sunsets, we were free,
G D
Now, I’m chained to the memories, of you and me.
