Backstory:
Healthy Concept was formed in the bustling city of Los Angeles, California, in 2013. The band comprises four members: lead vocalist and guitarist Derek James, bassist Ryan O’Connor, drummer Emma Roberts, and keyboardist Mark Peterson. The group met while studying together at the LA College of Music and quickly discovered a shared love for thought-provoking music with a positive vibe. They began jamming together in their shared apartment, eventually forming Healthy Concept after realizing their strong musical chemistry.
Despite the pressure to conform to the mainstream music scene, Healthy Concept remained true to their own unique vision of creating a healthy blend of music that uplifts the spirit and enlightens the mind. The name of the band is reflective of their commitment to producing music that promotes positivity and well-being, both mentally and emotionally.
