Backstory:
Hearty Coat, an indie folk band, traces its roots back to the calm and serene town of Hartford. Lead singer and songwriter, Jay, met guitarist and backup vocalist, Mia, at their high school talent show where they performed a homegrown song that received great applause. Driven by shared musical interests and a knack for raw, emotive compositions, they decided to make music together, which eventually led to the formation of Hearty Coat. The band, later joined by drummer, Noah, and bassist, Robert, began performing local gigs, gathering a steady fan base that resonated with their inventive lyrical themes and soulful melodies.
