Backstory:
Born in the bustling heart of New York’s underground punk scene in 2010, ‘Hefty Army’ is a band that has been pushing boundaries from their inception. Initially, the members; frontman Johnny ‘Smash’ Daniels, drummer Mitch ‘Blast’ Griffin, bassist Tommy ‘Thump’ Reilly, and guitarist Sammy ‘Slash’ Turner were merely four like-minded guys from the neighborhood with a mutual love for music. They started out playing covers at local bars, but over time their creativity flourished and they began to generate original, hard-hitting punk anthems that would later come to define their sound. Their journey has not always been smooth, but their raw energy, unbeatable camaraderie, and unwavering commitment to their craft have solidified ‘Hefty Army’s’ place in the annals of Punk Rock.
