Backstory:
Hefty Proportion was born in the gritty music scene of Seattle, Washington in 2011. The band is comprised of four childhood friends – Pete Jacobsen (lead vocals/guitar), Mike “Sledge” Sledgehammer (drums), Larry “Lizard” Farrell (bass), and Tony “Tone” Martinelli (keyboard). Pete and Sledge started off playing in their parents’ garage, eventually recruiting Lizard and Tone from their high school music class. The quartet bonded over their shared love for alternative rock and a dream of making it big.

The band spent years playing local gigs and building a dedicated fan base with their unique sound. They gradually garnered attention from music industry professionals after releasing their debut album in 2015. The Hefty Proportion’s rise to prominence was anything but overnight success, but their commitment and passion for music have seen them through, earning them a loyal fan base and solidifying their place in the alternative rock scene.
