Backstory:
Hideous Needle was born in the grungy back alleys of Vancouver in the late 1990s. The original members, lead singer Rob Knox, guitarist Jack “Razor” O’Malley, drummer Mickey “Spikes” Dunne, and bassist Frankie “Stitches” McNeil, lived in the same tenement building and were all drawn to the underground music scene. They began their musical journey by playing at local bars before their unique sound caught the attention of a local record producer. The band gained a cult following with their raw, unfiltered lyrics, and rugged punk rock sound, often drawing on their experiences of the city’s rougher side.
