Icy Spy

Backstory:
Icy Spy was formed in the snowy landscapes of Anchorage, Alaska, back in 2012. The band is composed of childhood friends, Ringo McCoy (lead vocalist), Jethro Banks (guitarist), and Madeline ‘Maddy’ Kerner (drummer). Each member brought diverse musical influences, transforming their raw passion into a unique sound. They began playing in local bars, gradually earning a reputation for their energetic performances and intricate harmonies. In 2015, they won a local music contest, which landed them a recording contract and changed their lives forever.

The band gained international recognition in 2017 when their uplifting anthem, “Shining Through,” made it to the top ten of the Billboard charts. With their signature harmonious interplay between melodic guitar riffs and punchy drum beats, Icy Spy is now a beloved household name.

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Close your eyes and picture [C] this,
[Em] A world in bliss, just you and [D] I.

[G] We’re living in a freeze [C] frame,
[Em] Captured in love’s sweet [D] game.
[G] No rewind, no fast [C] forward,
[Em] Caught in the gaze of [D] love’s reward.

(Verse 2)
[G] In this icy paradise, [C] under the northern lights,
[Em] We dance, we laugh, we [D] compromise.
[G] The flicker in your eyes, [C] tells no lies,
[Em] In this moment, love [D] crystallizes.

[G] We’re living in a freeze [C] frame,
[Em] Caught in love’s tender [D] flame.
