Backstory:
In the snowy landscapes of Tromsø, Norway, five childhood friends serenaded their frosty neighborhood with the electrifying sounds of their music. In 2013, they formed the band ‘Icy Welfare’, fusing their shared love for music, Arctic landscapes, and social politics. The band members, Lars, Erik, Oskar, Mathias, and Aksel, each brought their unique talents to create an eclectic blend. Despite the harsh climate of their hometown, the band used the circumstance as an inspiration, translating the icy tranquility and blizzard-hardship into their music. Their lyrics often touched upon social issues, earning them the ‘Welfare’ tag in their band name.

Song Title:
“Frozen Hearts”
Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
E minor A major D Major G major
Beneath the icy skies, where life is a compromise,
We’re standing tall, with frozen hearts in our eyes.
Can’t you see, it’s a world that needs a little more care,
We sing our souls out, hoping someone will hear.
(Chorus)
C major G major A minor F major
Here we stand, our hearts as cold as the winter night,
But within us burns a fire, a beacon of hopeful light.
Through our music, we fight, with all our might,
To thaw these frozen hearts, and set the world right.
(Verse 2)
E minor A major D Major G major
In our icy welfare, we’re more than just a band,
We’re a voice, a lifeline, extending a helping hand.
Together we’ll weather, this frigid, frosty land,
With our music as our weapon, and our hearts in command.
(Chorus)
C major G major A minor F major
Here we stand, our hearts as cold as the winter night,
Yet, within us burns a fire, a beacon of hopeful light.
Through our music, we fight, with all our might,
To thaw these frozen hearts, and set the world right.
