Backstory:
Idle Sun was formed in the small coastal town of Winslow, Maine, in the late 2000s. The four members – Jake Kellerman (lead vocals, guitar), Mia James (bass, backing vocals), Aidan O’Rourke (keyboards) and Noah Peterson (drums) – met in high school and began jamming in their parents’ basements, drawn together by a shared love for music and a dissatisfaction with the lack of cultural diversity in their town. They found solace and expression through music, describing it as the best way to combat the boredom and frustration they felt. After years of playing local venues and working on their sound, they gained recognition with their unique blend of indie and psychedelic rock, their emotive lyrics, and their electrifying live performances.
