Backstory:
In the bustling aural landscape of Vancouver, Canada, four friends found their common interest in music a fascinating canvas to express their societal concerns. Ignorant Oil was thus formed in 2014, with Ben Hawkins on vocals/guitar, Jessica Collins on bass, Travis Knight on drums, and Sarah Thomas on keyboards. Inspired by the turmoil created by the fossil fuel industry, the band decided to use music as a medium to inspire people to ponder on the environmental issues and the role of an individual in it. The members, all having different musical influences, fuse elements from their favorite genres to form the unique sound that is Ignorant Oil.
