Illegal Bay is a band that emerged from the quaint town of Portside, Massachusetts. The group was formed in 2010 when four childhood friends and musicians; Riley (lead vocals and guitar), Jesse (drums), Anna (bass guitar), and Ethan (keyboard), decided to venture into the music scene after their high school graduation. The band’s name was inspired by an infamous, hidden section of the Portside coast, known as ‘Illegal Bay’ – a local secret spot where the group used to hang out, write music, and discuss their dreams.
Staying true to their roots, Illegal Bay’s music reflects their maritime surroundings. With their creative fusion of folk, rock, and a touch of blues, the band gained popularity across New England.
