Improbable Grammar

Backstory:
Improbable Grammar began as a group of four university friends who shared a passion for music and language. They were all enrolled in the same English Literature course and bonded over their love for the quirky and unpredictable rules of the English language. Lead vocalist and keyboardist, Ezra Marlowe, drummer, Oliver “Ollie” Baxter, guitarist, Lucas “Luke” Hartman, and bassist, Theodore “Ted” Ford, hailing from diverse cultural backgrounds, decided to combine their musical and literary interests to form ‘Improbable Grammar.’

Their journey began by playing at local bars and university events, but their distinctive sound and lyrical creativity quickly made them a local sensation. Their fame spread when their songs started being shared on social media platforms, and by the time they graduated, they had already signed a record deal. Despite their quick rise to fame, they remained grounded and committed to their distinct style, creating music that’s as linguistically intriguing as it is melodically captivating.

Genre:
The band’s genre is Indie Pop with a hint of Folk.

Title:
“Verbose Solitude”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] In my verbose solitude, [Em] words dance in the dark,
[C] Stories untold, [D] whispers in the park.
[G] The night speaks a language, [Em] so profound and deep,
[C] Secrets it keeps, [D] promises it’ll keep.

(Chorus)
[G] In my verbose solitude, [Em] I find my peace,
[C] Amidst letters and phrases, [D] where my thoughts increase.
[G] In the silence of the night, [Em] I find my soul,
[C] In the depth of words, [D] I find myself whole.

(Verse 2)
[G] When the world is asleep, [Em] my thoughts come alive,
[C] In the realm of words, [D] I thrive.
[G] The moonlight pens my story, [Em] stars ink my dreams,
[C] The night is not as quiet, [D] as it seems.

(Chorus)
[G] In my verbose solitude, [Em] I find my truth,
[C] The world painted in words, [D] from my early youth.
[G] In the rhythm of the night, [Em] I find my song,
[C] In the flow of words, [D] where I belong.
