Backstory:
Born from the creative mash-up of four Seattle-based musicians, Inborn Pig emerged from the underground music scene in the late 2000s. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Harry “Hertz” Johnson, lead guitarist Andy “Axeman” Summers, bassist Pete “Piston” Davis, and drummer Johnny “Jazzman” Cohen. The group initially started as a garage band practicing in Harry’s basement. However, their unique sound quickly caught the attention of a local radio DJ, and they soon found themselves playing at a string of live gigs around the town. Their meteoric rise in popularity led them to sign a record deal, and they have been a mainstay on the Rock scene ever since.

Title:
“Barefoot in the Rain”
Full Song Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
C Am Em G
Walking down the empty streets, I’m barefoot in the rain,
C Am Em G
My heart is feeling heavy, can’t shake off the pain,
C Am Em G
The echo of your laughter still rings in my brain,
C Am Em G
I’m reaching for your shadow, but it’s all in vain.
[Chorus]
D Em C G
Barefoot in the rain, I’m drowning in your love,
D Em C G
The sky is crying with me, tears fall from above,
D Em C G
My heart still says your name; it fits just like a glove,
D Em C G
Barefoot in the rain, as if you never shoved.
[Verse 2]
C Am Em G
The fragrance of the rain-soaked earth, reminds me of your scent,
C Am Em G
The days are long and lonely, don’t know where you went,
C Am Em G
In every puddle’s reflection, I see our time well spent,
C Am Em G
Barefoot in the rain, love’s twisted lament.
[Chorus]
D Em C G
Barefoot in the rain, I’m lost without your touch,
D Em C G
Your absence is a silence, that screams way too much,
D Em C G
I’ll keep on walking barefoot, missing you as such,
D Em C G
Barefoot in the rain, longing for your clutch.
Fan Testimonial:
Fan’s Name: Oliver Thompson
When asked why Inborn Pig is his favorite band, Oliver Thompson said, “Their music speaks to me on a deeply personal level. It’s raw, emotional, and unapologetically honest. Whether I’m feeling ecstatically happy or miserably low, there’s always an Inborn Pig song that perfectly captures my emotions. The lyrics of ‘Barefoot in the Rain’ is so relatable and evocative; it gets me every time. The way the band combines their powerful lyrics with their intense instrumentals is a testament to their musical genius. Plus, their live gigs are always incredible!”
