Backstory:
Inconsequential Taste was formed in the depths of a small, industrial town in Northwest England in 2002. Childhood friends, lead vocalist Danny Smith, drummer Nicky Jones, bassist Pete Crompton, and guitarist Liam Walker were all products of the same bleak surroundings and had a shared passion for music that transcended their mundane reality. They spent their teenage years honing their skills in dimly lit garages and basements, feeding off the energy of the underground music scene and dreaming of bigger things. Their music became an escape from the monotony of their everyday lives, a way to dream, and a way to resist the expected.
In 2004, the band decided to take a leap of faith, dropping out of their jobs and college courses to pursue their musical dreams full-time. Despite the concerns of their families and the skepticism of their peers, Inconsequential Taste hit the road with nothing more than their instruments, a broken down van, and a relentless determination to make their mark on the world.

Title:
“Chasing Shadows”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] I’ve been running, [D] chasing shadows in the dark,
[Em] Searching for a [C] spark to ignite my weary heart.
[G] In the silence, [D] I heard your melody,
[Em] A symphony in [C] minor, a sweet and bitter harmony.
(Chorus)
[G] We are the lost, [D] we are the found,
[Em] We are the kings without a [C] crown.
[G] We are the dreamers, [D] chasing shadows in the night,
[Em] Burning like a fire, in this [C] endless fight.
(Verse 2)
[G] Through the chaos, [D] and the noise,
[Em] We found our voice, [C] in the clamor, in the poise.
[G] In the crowd, [D] we stood apart,
[Em] Lost in the music, [C] lost in the art.
(Chorus)
[G] We are the lost, [D] we are the found,
[Em] We are the kings without a [C] crown.
[G] We are the dreamers, [D] chasing shadows in the night,
[Em] Burning like a fire, in this [C] endless fight.
